Checking the html documentation into a VCS is one way of doing it, but another way to make versions of your Confluence wiki documentation is to do it in the same way that Atlassian creates versions of their Confluence documentation, ie. making a separate space for each version of the documentation: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+Documentation+Home (current version) http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF29/Confluence+Documentation+Home (2.9 version) http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF28/Confluence+Documentation+Home (2.8 version, etc.)
